An Insurance Service Agent is a key contact point for transacting business for AAA insurance policyholders. Agents respond to telephone inquiries regarding account processing or billing status, new applications, and policy change requests. Agents handle endorsements and cancellation information.
Job Responsibilities
- Processes routine auto insurance inquiries and transactions
- Endorses auto policy changes with premium impacts
- Completes necessary auto insurance paper forms (cancellation requests, lien holder statements, loss payee and request for additional information)
- Processes basic policyholder billing inquiries
- Responds to and resolves policy holder complaints
- Maintains a high level of service with policyholders
- Meets defined performance targets
- Enrolls policyholders in additional AAA services that will meet their needs
- Assist Auto Insurance Servicing
- May assist Membership and Sales Servicing
- Manage workload in a fast paced environment
Job Requirements
- Good command of the English language - in both verbal and written communication
- Basic math skills
- Typing (35 wpm minimum)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and other standard software products
- Ability to learn to use additional AAA specific software such as MemberPoint and Mileage Calculator
- Professional telephone skills
- Understands and applies sales techniques where appropriate
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
- Uses good judgment
- Ability to work efficiently as an individual contributor or as part of a team
- Minimum 1 year prior customer service experience is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
